I really like this day bed. It was a difficult decision, but I chose something unusual. Character might be the key word here. It is not a finely finished piece of furniture. The joints were wonky when putting it together. The carving is not perfectly mirrored. It is perfectly imperfect. It was what I expected. If you want a fine piece of furniture you might want to look somewhere else and I am not sure if somewhere else will have it either. If you want something unique with character and an ethnic flare, this is for you. Have a rubber mallet handy to whack things into place. I am buying a bunkie board as I can feel the slats from atop my 6 inch, very inexpensive, mattress. Read the sizes carefully, if you want to use a twin mattress. Shipping was slow, but the seller was responsive.
